C is for cookie!

Here's documentation of our attempt at Gingerbread Men. They were OK. At least it was funny. I think Jacob liked playing with the flour better than the dough, but that's probably good.

Shutterfly can help highlight those Christmas cuties in your life!

I love pictures, sending Christmas cards and getting things done efficiently...So Shutterfly works for me. I've used Shutterfly's photocards several times in the last few years. Most notably for Jacob's birth announcements, but also consistently for Christmas Photo Cards. As the family expands, I know the most exciting part of the greetings are the photos that show our adventures through the year and just how big the little sugarbear is getting. If you're looking for Holiday Cards, there are tons. Perhaps Jacob can help me pick ours this year. The hardest part will be narrowing down the cute photos we have of him.
If you need some thought-starters, or you're ready to get those Christmas Cards ordered and mailed already, click on any of the hyper-linked words above. There are some really cute ones this year!

Shutterfly's current promo will get me 50 free photocards...wooohooooo!!
And if you post something on your blog about Shutterfly's recent blog promotion, then you get 50 FREE photocards too! Almost too easy.

One more thing to check off my list before baby sister arrives!! Yes!! Then it will be photo announcement time. :)
Hope to post more cute pics of Jake, perhaps a couple of this enormous baby sister belly I'm growing, and sending some warm holiday wished your way soon. Happy Ho Ho Ho!

Jake's new bed!

He's too busy to help us carry the bed to his room.
It's happening. My sweet baby is getting big!
Wow!!
A final farewell to the crib.

Hello new bed! He placed all the animals VERY meticulously. The favorites were put close to "sleeping Elmo!!"
A bed skirt and cool new airplane blanket are on the way. He slept pretty well. We had to put him back in bed 3 times, but he fell asleep by 9. He did go pitter-patter down the hall this morning. I found him sitting on his tricycle in the dark living room. It was 5:45.
Maybe he'll just know tomorrow is Saturday. Please.

oh, and we're having another baby

Presenting Futurebaby Girl Stone. She'll have a real name later.
Jacob will be a great big brother. See? Look how sweet he is to Koko:
He gets a little confused and calls this an 'anchor' even though he knows how Koko the Pirate ought to wear this eye patch. Obviously.

updates...

It's almost as if that haircut really traumatized me into immobility here!
So Jacob turned two a while ago. :) He had a fabulous birthday.

Here are some other things we've been doing:
The Hiwassee River duck boat. He enjoyed most of it but still talks about how he cried in the yellow boat.
Home from the pool. He's getting pretty good in the water. He likes to hold onto the side and tell us to go away. Politely.

Oh me, oh my...oh, who's this guy???

Jacob received a big-boy haircut today. He was great, I was pretty nervous. Where did my baby boy go??? I'll miss that goofy, moppy, floppy head of hair!

What is this??
He was so good, especially once he had the lollipop.
AFTER. Whoa. (He also received a replacement lollipop since the original collected a good bit of hair.)
Aw, see that. My baby's still there!!

Jacob is getting so big!

Jake will be TWO in a month. Yikes! Birthday plans will be announced later, when I've made them. For now, here are some recent pictures.
He's been singing a few songs lately and repeats everything. He's so much fun!

Chattanooga's snowing!

Jacob really liked snowballs!

He brought one inside to show Koey. Then Koey showed Jake how you eat a snowball. yummmm.

Miniature snowman. Or a snowball tower.

Fun, fun!
